Vision
It is the vision of the Rex the Rhino Conservation Fund to collaborate with existing rhino protection agencies towards well equipped, trained, highly motivated field rangers for rhino conservation and conservation in general in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park and other areas of Southern Africa by acquiring support for programmes and while ensuring transparency and accountability to donors and the public.
Objectives
- To legitimately raise funds to support rhino conservation in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park
- To support the field rangers in their anti-poaching and conservation efforts in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park and further afield
- To ensure that funds raised are used to purchase equipment, training, maintenance and any appropriate needs as identified by the anti-poaching field staff, reserve managers and veterinary services in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Park and elsewhere
- To ensure that all funds raised through Rex the Rhino Conservation Trust go directly towards the above objectives and are not used up in administrative activities
Rex's Support Team
As a Non Profit Company, the organisation has three Directors, namely Frank Carlisle, Malcolm Organ and Paul Cryer, who all donate their time and expertise to the management of the organisation.
It was agreed, right from the start, the any funds donated to the organisation, would go directly to purchasing equipment, fuel, medication, veterinary needs or necessities linked to conservation and preservation requirements in the field and that funds would not go towards administration costs of the organisation or to salaries. Such costs are carried by associated tourism companies or are specifically donated by those wishing to support Rex.
Our Patron, Grahame Thomson, has enormous passion, vast experience and is one of the original foot soldiers of the golden era. We salute him.

There are some, the Rex Warriors, who go way beyond any expectations towards supporting Rex. These are our Rex Warriors and they are honoured here with so much appreciation.
